ABOUT

I am a licensed psychotherapist (LMSW) trained in various therapeutic modalities (CBT, CPT, DBT), trauma-based treatment, and strengths-based approaches.

My Approach to Therapy

The world we live in presents many barriers to self-love. From family trauma to systemic oppression, the pain of being told we are not "good" enough forces us to hide the truest parts of ourselves. From day one, many of us are told to wipe away our tears and swallow our anger. We are told our feelings aren't valid - convinced that we are incomplete or that something is "wrong" with us. These negative beliefs rattle in our minds all day long. In turn, we feel depressed, lonely, and afraid.

If you feel this way, you've come to the right place. In fact, you've started the most important part of therapy: simply showing up for yourself! I affirm you for showing up for yourself to work through emotional pain. I believe that everyone has the ability to love themselves - and by doing so - has the ability to change. I often use relational psychodynamic and anti-oppressive approaches to help you achieve this. This being said, I also am open to whatever form of treatment works best for you.

I am an encouraging therapist who is here to help you see yourself for who you really are. I help clients make connections between their relationships, society, and themselves in the secure container of our therapeutic relationship.

As Bandwidth Care founder, I also explore how technology complicates our lives; sometimes integrating this nuance in session. I center the belief that technology has fundamentally changed how we relate to ourselves and each other. I have worked extensively with tech workers and tech users who have dealt with burnout, cyber hate crimes, and other forms of tech-related stress.
